12th Annual Pet Appreciation Fair

The 12th Annual Pet Appreciation Fair and Walk for the Animals will be held this Saturday, October 13 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Archery Range at El Dorado East Regional Park.

The event, presented by the Petco Foundation and co-sponsored by Friends of Long Beach Animals and Long Beach Animal Care Services, is being hosted to help fund low-cost spay/neuter, medical attention for special needs of shelter animals, and humane education.

Long Beach Animal Care Services will also be on hand with adoptable animals, and attendees can “Ask the Vet” and “Ask the Trainer” about their animal care questions.

The parade’s grand marshal will be Shoestring City Ranch, a non-profit organization that provides “free and low cost rural experiences to city youth while teaching teamwork, respect, and leadership skills in an ecologically friendly green-space working with rescued animals”.
